Dragon Masks for Chinese New Year Storytime

By Awnali Mills

Dragon masks

I have an upcoming Chinese New Year storytime, and I made a Five Red Dragons flannel for it. I wanted something active for the kids to do, and thought of a dragon dance. Well, if you’ve seen a dragon dance, you know that 3 year olds are not going to be that coordinated, but we could all get masks and pretend to be dragons while we danced!
I used a printable from itsybitsyfun.com and made several masks from cardstock and craft sticks. We’ll use music that I downloaded from Amazon, and dance all over the room!
